Tuesday odds n' ends

• Hey, it's election day. Not THAT election day, but still pretty important on the state and local levels. Read up on a smattering of the races here, and then click here to find your polling place in Greene County. Polls are open until 7 p.m.

• How about that Tim Oliphant. Never mind for a second that an Oliphant is the J.R.R. Tolkien name for large, cumbersome elephant-like creatures—the Branson man completely dominated the summer season finale of American Gladiators last night, winning a car, $100,000 and some other stuff. Not a bad payoff, considering he gets to wear a bunch of protective gear. Click here to see a YouTube montage of Gladiator hopefuls... zoom to the 29-second mark to see Tim being very Type-A. In all seriousness, congrats!
