Drink of the Issue
Can vitamin-infused water really make a good mixer? Yes.
Drink: Area 417
Home: Trolley's
We hear Trolley’s is the only place in town to offer VitaZest Waters as a mixer. The assorted flavors have zero calories and carbs, plus vitamins and minerals, making Trolley’s H2O cocktails appealing to the health-conscious.
WHAT’S IN IT: Cruzan Guava Rum, DeKuyper’s Peachtree Schnapps, Kiwi-Strawberry VitaZest Water, and one other “unidentified ingredient.”
WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: This drink is translucent pink and served over ice in a highball tumbler. If it’s the Martini of the Day, expect a martini glass.
WHAT IT TASTES LIKE: The kiwi, watermelon, and peach are not overly sweet, which is a light, refreshing change from fruity cocktails. The combo of schnapps and rum lends pizazz.
HOW MUCH IT COSTS: $6
